Iara Silva

Iara Silva is a natural muli-tasker. Her works vary from hand-drawings to digital compositions, photography, short animations and poetry that only rhymes in her mind. Without a defined style of work, besides procrastination, she wonders and experiments with everything she finds appealing and tries her best to make it as engaging for others. The Portuguese-Angolan artist is heavily influenced by today's society, she sarcastically depicts a range of subjects, from simply aesthetic snapshots to today's political events and identity crisis. She tries to over-compensate the lack of abundant Angolan culture she missed out on whilst growing up in Portugal by inputting it in the majority of her work.
