Shannon Idzikowska is an abstract oil painter who lives in Hackney Wick, East London. Prominent palette knife strokes with thick swaths of paint are characteristic of her work, often imbibing the brightest colours in even the darkest of themes. As an Advaita zen buddhist, her paintings imbibe a
sense of the deep with a spontaneous attitude. Genres, resting in her heart, range from the universe/cosmos, to Hindu symbolism and deities, ancient tribalism, to fragrant free-flowing random colours and shapes on the canvas. Self-taught as an artist, painting is a way for her to describe the indescribable potential within every living being on the planet.
