As a child I spent many summers travelling around the British countryside on my grandparent’s narrow boat, which provided a sharp contrast to my home life in North London. Despite my urban upbringing I have always sought out nature; be it a dramatic sunset, the way spring raises my sprits after a cold winter or a vibrant summer bloom.
I have always been creative and achieved a 1st class BA hons in illustration. Painting abstract landscapes has been a natural progression for me and my garden studio has provided a sanctuary from the demands of family life.
I work predominately in acrylics and inks and take inspiration from childhood memories, my local environment and my mood. I love the feeling of peace painting gives me and hope that my work provokes a similar feeling in you.
